Put Facebook Leads Where Your Team Already Works

Your sales team has Slack open all day, but Facebook leads still land somewhere else: in Leads Center, in an inbox full of receipts, or in a spreadsheet nobody refreshes. By the time someone spots a new lead, it has gone cold.

Sending leads to a Slack channel fixes the handover. The whole team sees a lead the moment it arrives, one person claims it in the thread, and the follow-up conversation stays attached to that lead instead of scattering across DMs. It works the same on desktop and on the Slack mobile app, so nobody has to sit in front of a dashboard.

This guide shows you how to send Facebook lead ads to Slack with LeadsNotify, then how to set up the channel so leads actually get picked up.

How to Send Facebook Lead Ads to Slack (About 5 Minutes)

Before you start, you need: a LeadsNotify account on any plan, free included, admin access to the Facebook Page with your lead forms, and permission to add apps to your Slack workspace. If your workspace requires admin approval for apps, ask your Slack admin first. No lead form yet? Start with our guide to creating and running Facebook lead ads.

Step 1: Connect Your Facebook Page

Log in to LeadsNotify. Open Connectors in the top menu and choose Facebook. Click Connect To Facebook, tick the Pages with your lead forms, and approve the permissions Facebook asks for.

Every Page you ticked shows as CONNECTED. Managing a client’s Page? The client has to give your business admin access and leads access first. For more detail, see how to connect Facebook Pages to LeadsNotify.

Step 2: Create a Slack Notifier

Go back to the dashboard. Under Create a new notifier, type “slack” in the search box, find Send leads to Slack and click Create notifier. Keep the Facebook tab selected.

Step 3: Pick Your Page and Form, Then Connect Slack

In the Trigger panel, choose your Page under Select Facebook Page, then pick one or more forms under Select Form. Only active forms are shown. Facebook doesn’t let you edit a published instant form, so if you changed a question, pick the copy your ad is running.

In the Action panel, click Click here to connect your Slack account. Slack opens in a new tab. Sign in, make sure the right workspace is selected, and click Allow. Then return to LeadsNotify.

LeadsNotify asks Slack for four permissions: post messages, post to public channels it hasn’t joined, and read the list of public and private channels. It can’t read your messages.

Step 4: Choose the Slack Channel

Once Slack is connected, open Select Channel and pick where leads should go.

Private channel not in the list? LeadsNotify can post to any public channel straight away, but it only sees a private channel after the app has been added to it. In Slack, open the private channel, open its details, go to Integrations and add the LeadsNotify app. Then reload the notifier page.

Step 5: Choose the Lead Fields, Then Submit

Under Lead fields, pick the details each Slack message should carry. Tick Email me when a lead fails so you hear about a failed delivery straight away. Then click SUBMIT.

Step 6: Test the Notifier and Check Lead Delivery

Your new notifier appears under My Notifier. The green switch means it’s live.

To test it, click Edit on the notifier, then click TEST NOTIFIER. Pick the form and click Send now. LeadsNotify sends a test lead straight to your Slack channel, so there’s nothing to set up anywhere else.

The lead appears in the channel you picked, with only the fields you chose. A teammate can claim it in the thread straight away.

Then open Lead Delivery. Every attempt shows the Page, the form, the destination and a status of Delivered or Failed, with the reply in the Response column. Our guide to the lead delivery status dashboard walks through every column.

Set Up a Lead Channel Your Team Actually Uses

Getting leads into Slack is the easy part. These habits make sure someone replies.

    • Give leads their own channel. A #new-leads channel with notifications switched on beats a busy #sales channel where alerts scroll away.
    • Send only what a rep needs to call. Name, phone number, email and your qualifying question. Add Form Name if several forms post into one channel. Leave IDs for the Lead Delivery log.
    • Claim leads in the thread. Agree a simple rule, such as replying “mine” or adding a reaction, so two people never call the same lead.
    • Agencies: one private channel per client. Each channel needs its own notifier, and the LeadsNotify app has to be added to each private channel.
    • Keep a second copy. Slack is for speed. Add a second notifier on the same form for email or Google Sheets so every lead has a permanent record.

Everyone in the channel sees each lead’s contact details, so keep it to the people who work the leads.

When Leads Don’t Show Up in Slack

Start with the Response column in Lead Delivery. It shows the exact reason Slack gave for a failed message.
