EngageBay is an all-in-one marketing, sales and service platform for small businesses, with a CRM, email marketing and a helpdesk. If you run LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms, sending every new lead to EngageBay automatically saves you downloading files from Campaign Manager and importing them by hand.
This guide shows you how to send LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms to EngageBay with LeadsNotify: connect your LinkedIn Page, connect EngageBay, choose where leads go, and test it. It takes about five minutes.

Why Send LinkedIn Leads to EngageBay?
EngageBay sequences and deal pipelines start from a contact. Sending ad leads straight in means no lead waits for a manual import before anyone follows up.
LinkedIn leads are often your most valuable leads: decision makers, with company and job title already filled in from their profile. They are also the easiest to lose, because they wait in Campaign Manager until someone remembers to download them.
How to Send LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms to EngageBay (About 5 Minutes)
Before you start, you need: a LeadsNotify account on any plan, free included, admin access to the LinkedIn Page that runs your lead gen forms, and your EngageBay account and permission to create API keys.
Step 1: Connect Your LinkedIn Account
Log in to LeadsNotify and open Lead sources. Click Sign in with LinkedIn, sign in, and approve the permissions LinkedIn asks for. Your account shows as Connected under LinkedIn accounts. Already connected? Skip to step 2.

Step 2: Create a Notifier and Pick Your Lead Gen Forms
Click Create notifier. In the Source step, choose LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms, select your LinkedIn account and tick one or more lead gen forms. LeadsNotify reads the fields on those forms, such as first name, last name, email, company name and job title.
Only active forms are shown. If a form is missing, check that the form and its campaign are active in Campaign Manager.

Step 3: Choose EngageBay as the Destination
Click Choose destination, find EngageBay in the list (you can search for it) and click the button to connect it.

Step 4: Connect EngageBay
The Connect step asks for your EngageBay API ID. These let LeadsNotify add leads to your EngageBay account.
Where to find your EngageBay API ID
- Log in to EngageBay.
- Open Account Settings, then API & Tracking code.
- Copy the REST API Key. Do not use the JavaScript API Key on the same page.
- Paste it into the API ID field in LeadsNotify.
EngageBay shows two keys on the same page. LeadsNotify needs the REST API Key.
Paste the value into LeadsNotify and click Submit.
Step 5: Match Your Fields and Save
After you click Submit, LeadsNotify connects to EngageBay and loads your contact fields. Match each lead form field to the EngageBay field it belongs in.
Save the notifier. It appears under Notifiers, and the green switch means it’s live. The test step shows whether failure alerts are on, so you hear about it if a lead can’t be delivered.
Step 6: Send a Test Lead and Check Lead delivery
Saving the notifier opens Review and test delivery. LeadsNotify cannot create LinkedIn test leads itself, but LinkedIn can, and the test step lists the exact steps for your form.

To send one, open LinkedIn Campaign Manager and choose your ad account, go to Content & Assets > Lead generation forms, click More next to the form and choose Send Test Lead. Fill in a first name, last name and email address you own, then click Send. Later, the ⋯ menu next to the notifier in Notifiers has How to send a test lead with the same steps.
Open Contacts in EngageBay and search for the test lead by email. If the test lead is there with the right details, the notifier is working.
Then open Lead delivery in LeadsNotify. Every attempt is listed with the source, the destination, a status of Delivered or Failed and the delivery time. Our guide to the lead delivery status dashboard walks through every column.

Tips for Getting More From LinkedIn Leads in EngageBay
- Add a tag or list in EngageBay that marks the source, so you can run a sequence for ad leads only.
- Use EngageBay automation to create a deal or task when a new contact arrives.
Troubleshooting the LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms to EngageBay Integration
Start with the Lead delivery page. It shows whether each lead was Delivered or Failed, and the failure alert email includes the reason.
| What you see | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| No leads arriving at all | The LinkedIn account shows as disconnected, often after an admin role changes | Lead sources > Sign in with LinkedIn, and reconnect the account |
| Your form isn’t in the form list | Only active forms are shown | Check the form and campaign status in Campaign Manager, then reopen the notifier |
| Leads stopped after you edited the campaign | The campaign now uses a different lead gen form | Edit the notifier and select the new form |
| The key is rejected | The JavaScript API Key was pasted instead of the REST API Key | Copy the REST API Key from Account Settings > API & Tracking code |
| A delivery shows Failed | EngageBay refused the lead | Open Lead delivery to find the lead, and read the reason in the failure alert email |
