LeadsNotify vs Meta's built-in CRM setup
A lead sitting inside Meta isn't helping your sales team.
Meta holds your leads for 90 days and never tells you when one arrives. LeadsNotify puts every lead in your CRM and your inbox the second the form is submitted. Free for 150 leads a month.

Where LeadsNotify is stronger
Every figure in the Meta column is quoted from Meta's own Business Help Centre or developer documentation, so you can check any of it yourself.
| Capability | Lead routing |
Meta native Built into Business Suite |
|---|---|---|
| Setup, teardown and scope | ||
| Setup effortLeadsNotify | Once, then it runs Connect a source, connect a destination, map the fields. |
Per Page, per admin The connection is made from each Facebook Page by an admin with leads access. Twelve client pages means twelve setups. |
| Removing it laterLeadsNotify | One click Turn a notifier off and it stops. |
Every admin must remove it Meta states that where several Page admins connected the CRM, each of them has to remove it separately. |
| Connections made from a partner siteLeadsNotify | Not applicable Everything is managed in one place. |
Cannot be undone in Meta Meta states plainly that if you integrated through an external website, you will not be able to edit or disconnect it from Business Suite. |
| Leads that silently stop arrivingLeadsNotify | Visible in one place Every notifier and its destination is on one screen. |
Permissions can block it Meta documents that leads will not reach a connected CRM if access has been customised in Leads Access Manager and the CRM was not granted permission. |
| LinkedIn Lead Gen FormsLeadsNotify | Yes, on every plan Same setup as Facebook. |
Not applicable Meta carries Meta. LinkedIn leads need a separate route entirely. |
| Building it yourself on the APILeadsNotify | Not needed Nothing to submit, nothing to review. |
App Review and verification Meta requires a Facebook app, App Review covering leads_retrieval and pages_manage_ads, business verification after approval, and Page access tokens. Nothing works while the app is in development mode. |
| The 90-day clock | ||
| How long leads stay availableLeadsNotify | No expiry Once a lead is delivered it sits in your CRM or your inbox, which belongs to you. |
90 days Meta states it three times, including this: you will only be able to download leads from the last 90 days even when viewing lifetime results. |
| Leads you did not catchLeadsNotify | Already delivered They left Meta at the moment the form was submitted. |
Unrecoverable Meta publishes no retry behaviour, no failure alert and no backfill. A connection that quietly stops means leads that no longer exist to recover once the clock runs out. |
| Reported count versus downloadable countLeadsNotify | The same number What was delivered is what you have. |
They differ Meta documents that your download will be smaller than the Results column, because Results counts lifetime leads while the export returns 90 days. |
| The partner list | ||
| Connections that are genuinely directLeadsNotify | 31, all ours Built and maintained by us, and every one is live. |
152 of 646 Meta lists 646 CRM partners. Only 152 offer any direct connection. The other 77 percent are third-party middleware inside a Meta-branded list. |
| Is the list currentLeadsNotify | Yes If a connector stops working it is our problem to fix. |
Heavily stale It still carries Highrise, Bronto, ProsperWorks and SalesforceIQ among other dead or renamed products, plus duplicate entries for the same tool. |
| Missing tool built for youLeadsNotify | Free, on any plan Including the free one, and your current setup keeps running until the new one is live. |
Not offered Meta lists partners. It does not build connectors. |
| Several destinations from one formEven | Yes One lead to your CRM and your inbox still counts once. |
Yes Meta documents this and calls it a newer feature. One form can feed several connected CRMs. |
| Getting the lead to a person | ||
| Email alert when a lead arrivesLeadsNotify | Built in, every plan Including the free one, sent as the form is submitted. |
No first-party feature An Email Notification entry does appear in Meta CRM Setup, but Meta own page data classifies it as a third-party integration rather than a Meta feature. |
| Field mappingLeadsNotify | In the product Drag a form field onto a CRM field and it is done. |
Not in Meta interface No Meta help article documents a mapping step. Mapping happens inside whichever partner tool you connect. |
| Delivery speedEven | Real time Delivered as the form is submitted. |
Real time A working direct connection delivers as the lead arrives. Neither side publishes a latency figure. |
Why add LeadsNotify?
One job, done properly: getting the lead from the ad to the person who can call it.
Leads that outlive the 90-day clock
Meta keeps lead data downloadable for 90 days and says so plainly in its own help centre. A lead delivered into your CRM on the day it arrives is not subject to anyone else timetable.
An email the moment a lead lands
Meta has no first-party alert when a new lead arrives. LeadsNotify emails you as the form is submitted, on every plan including the free one, so a lead reaches a person and not just a database.
Missing a connector? We build it, free
If the tool you use is not one of our 31 integrations, we build the connector for you, free, on any plan including the free one. Request one.
Using LeadsNotify alongside Meta's own setup
This is not a switch. Meta native can stay exactly where it is while you find out whether you need more than it gives you.
Leave your Meta CRM connection alone
Nothing here asks you to disconnect it. Meta supports several connected destinations from one form, so both routes can run at once.
Create a free LeadsNotify account
150 leads a month, no card, no trial clock.
Connect the same form to the same CRM
Now the same lead arrives by both routes, which is exactly what you want while you are comparing them.
Add the email alert Meta does not have
Point a notifier at your inbox and see how long it actually takes for a lead to reach a person rather than a row in a database.
Compare the two counts after a fortnight
Check what Meta reports against what actually landed. If the numbers match and nobody is chasing leads late, Meta native is doing its job and you should keep it.
Questions buyers ask
How long does Meta keep my leads?
Ninety days. Meta states it in its own help centre: lead data is available for download for 90 days from the time a form is submitted, and it cannot be downloaded after that, even when you are viewing lifetime campaign results. Meta gives security and storage as the reason.
Does Meta email me when a new lead arrives?
There is no first-party Meta feature that does this. An Email Notification entry does appear inside Meta CRM Setup, but Meta own page data classifies it as a third-party integration rather than something Meta provides. LeadsNotify sends the alert itself, on every plan including the free one.
Meta lists hundreds of CRM integrations. Is that not enough?
It lists 646 partners, but only 152 of them offer any direct connection. The remaining 77 percent are reached through third-party middleware, so you end up running another tool regardless. The list is also stale, still carrying products that no longer exist and several duplicate entries.
Why would I pay for something Meta gives away free?
Often you should not, and this page is not trying to talk you out of it. If you run one page into one CRM and somebody checks it daily, Meta native is the right answer. The case for paying starts when leads have to reach a person quickly, when a connection breaking quietly would cost you real money, or when you are running more than one page.
What happens if the Meta CRM connection breaks?
Meta publishes no retry behaviour, no failure alert and no backfill. Put that next to the 90-day rule and you have the real risk: a connection can stop quietly, and by the time anyone notices, the leads may no longer be recoverable at all.
Can I use both at the same time?
Yes. Meta documents that one form can feed several connected destinations, so you can leave your existing setup running while you test another route alongside it. Nothing needs to be disconnected first.
Still comparing?
Keep Meta native. Add the parts it does not do.
Start free, point one form at your inbox as well as your CRM, and see how much sooner a lead reaches a person.
Setup takes minutes. No workflow builder, no code.
